The Colts Pee Wee, Midget, and Varsity squads all bring home wins against the Northside Dolphins at Lutz today while our Supers battle hard all game to earn a tie.
The Pee Wees controlled the ball extremely well and for the overwhelming majority of the game as evidenced by their big 38-6 win to begin the day. The second string boys got lots of playtime in this game and looked very good.
Our Super Midgets fell behind early, but played some tough defense to keep the game within a single score for much of the game. Capping an outstanding drive late in the game, the Supers scored with less than 2 minutes remaining in the game to earn the hard-fought 6-6 tie.
The Midget squad started off quick and strong with a couple early scores, then let their foot off the gas a bit which allowed the Dolphins to claw their way back into the game. They eventually held on for a 22-19 win.
The big boys came out strong and controlled the entire game to finish the day off for the Colts. The Varsity boys never gave the Dolphins much to cheer about as they coasted to a 44-0 win to cap off a very hot day in Lutz.
