Our Westchase Colts teams had an outstanding day competing in the second round of the 2014 TBYFL playoffs at Skyway Park Saturday. All 4 teams represented the organization with class and ended the day by sending 3 of the 4 to the 2014 TBYFL Super Bowl.
The Super Midget Colts beat the Brandon Bears 18-0. Their outstanding defense kept the Bears in check all game.
Our Midgets defeated the Thonotosassa Giants 22-6 in a very impressive win against a great TBYFL team.
The big Varsity Colts convincingly beat the Lutz Chiefs 48-0, again showing off an unstoppable offense and smothering defense.
Our Pee Wee squad played a very tough game against an undefeated Ravens team, but fell short of advancing. They finished the season with only 3 losses – a great season by any measure!
The TBYFL Super Bowl will be held on Saturday, December 6th at Skyway Park.
The Supers will play against the Brandon Ravens at noon. In their previous matchup this season, the Colts won 14-0.
Our Midgets will play against the South Tampa 49ers. In their previous matchup, the Colts won 22-0.
The Varsity squad will play against the Nuccio Jaguars. Their previous game was in week 1, but was called due to weather. The Jaguars ended up forfeiting the game to the Colts.
As an added bonus, the eventual Super Bowl winners from Super Midgets, Midgets, and Varsity will play at Raymond James Stadium as part of the Game Day of Champions. Those games will be played on the day after the TBYFL Super Bowl – Sunday, December 7th. Let’s pull for our boys and girls and cheer them on to RayJay!
